SO FABULAS

From Latin Fabula “story, tale”

There comes a time, particularly after three-quarters of a century or more, when one may indeed have something to say. Stories and essays begin with the spoken word. Absent a talented voice actor, the written word reigns, and photographs and videos do more than supplement. Once one relates, one becomes a storyteller, a teller of tales, a raconteur, a writer of fables, a journalist, a chronicler, a fabular who narrates fabula. Hence, fabulas. Consequently, fabulas. One may even hazard ‘So, fabulas,’ risking a conceit, the double entendre ‘So Fabulous.’ Let us now proceed to confabulate.
